WS_FTP95LE File Configurations for Home and Office

WS_FTP95LE Pre-Configured Download Instructions

You may download the properly configured WS_FTP95LE program in the lab to floppy disk. If you download from the lab, just take the floppy disk home and load these files onto your computer. You will then be able to run WS_FTP from home. On-campus students: if you have trouble with this process come to office hours in CL119 and a lab instructor will assist you with the download. Please bring a floppy disk. Off-campus students please contact your local lab facilitator.

The WS_FTP95LE files are found in a folder contained in the CS Department's anonymous FTP account. Log on to Mercury's ftp site as "anonymous" in the lab using WS_FTP.

MAKE SURE THE HOST NAME/ADDRESS SAYS: ftp.cs.uregina.ca !!

Make sure that the binary radio button is selected.

There should be a folder on Mercury named "WS_FTP95LE". You may download the WS_FTP95LE folder that contains all the necessary files to your floppy disk.

To do this, just select the folder named "WS_FTP95LE", and then click the transfer button:
You will have to select the a: drive on the Remote system to transfer the folder to your floppy disk.

Once you have the folder downloaded to a floppy disk you should then take the disk home and install this folder to your c: drive on your computer. Open up this new folder and there will be a WS_FTP icon which you can click on to start this program.

Remember that you can only ftp files to and from the University's computers if you have an internet connection! If this doesn't work please come to office hours for assistance.
